Description
The Kentron V3B Kukri IR Air-to-Air Missile is a South African short range Air-to-Air missile developed indigenously for the South African Air Force (SAAF) to counter arms embargoes and sanctions against South Africa during the Border War in order to give the SAAF a more resilient missile than the Matra R550 Magic 1. The V3B Kukri was designed for and used only on SAAF:
