Description
Six (6) Matra LRF-2 68mm Rocket Launcher’s was a weapon load occasionally carried by SAAF Impala Mk2 aircraft during the “Border War” which took place across the South African administered territory of South West Africa (Later renamed Namibia), Angola, Zambia and occasionally Mozambique
These Launchers were used on many other aircraft like but not limited to:
Aermacchi MB-326/AT-26 Xavante/Atlas Impala
Dassault Mirage III,V5,50 series aircraft
Fouga Magister
Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet
Aermacchi AM-3C/Bosbok
