Description
The Matra LRF-4 was specifically designed to fit to the Dassault Mirage F1 because the normal Matra 155 SNEB would damage the underside of the Mirage F1 wing when firing. This lead too the develpment of a different blast deflector system for the SNEB. The LRF-4 was later on adopted for other aircraft types.
The LRF-4 was used extensively by the SAAF Mirage F1 Squadrons during cross-border operations, early on in the Border War.
