Description
The electronic warfare pod, Elettronica SpA ELT-555 Airborne Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) and radar jamming system, also referred to as the “Bikini Pod“ in the SAAF as that was the SAAF project name, were used in the electronic warfare role (Jamming/Self-Protection) on the SAAF Mirage F1, Buccaneer and Canberra in operations over Angola and were also used on Royal Moroccan Air Force Mirage F1 and F-5E aircraft.
